5 string banjo 'Stephen' played in D tuning.

Original by Tony Ellis was written in C tuning, this works just as well but doesnt have that 'modal' feel about it. I first heard this tune at the end of a documentary 'History of the banjo' it was so relaxing it blew me away. Still makes me feel tired each time I play it!

@lpilk2007 great i will look out for it on your channel. Yes I found out pretty much the same way about this tune, it was actually only through YT that I found what it was. Have to admit though the tune sounds better played in C tuning, I have already started playing it a bit more fluid since I posted this, and fill in with a roll around the 4th string when played now. C'est la vie!

Love that tune friend .I to heard the tune on the end of the video yearsago and have ''just'' tonight found out what it is called . i have nearly got it sussed by using my ear will post a vid on here soon with my attempt.
