First Baptist Church of Kemp VBS 2009- Boomerang Express

This year at the First Baptist Church of Kemp we climbed aboard the Boomerang Express for a journey into the Australian Outback. We had quite the adventure learning about God in the Land Down Under.
As we do every year, the kids gave an offering for the Texas Baptist Children's Home that goes towards helping children in need. They had a contest between the girls and the boys. At the end of the four days, they had raised a total of $118.98 (girls $100.48 and boys $18.50). Well, the boys weren't satisfied with that so we had another offering on Family Night. The boys almost caught the girls, raising almost $100 in a single night bringing their new total to $113.55. The girls raised almost $30 more for a new total of $144.74. Congratulations to our VBS kids for raising $258.29 for the Texas Baptist Children's Home!
