  • Need a name for the system?... How about: "The Canterbury Ruck".

  • Wool is the best for the money. But don't discredit silk. It retains heat incredibly well wet or dry. It just can be costly.

    Here's a tip:

Every time you go to a place like Good Will or Value Village, take a peek at the ugly silk shirts and snag the ones with stains that only set you back a few bucks. Get enough of them- can make just about anything.

  • i call it a murse

  • in the common man trapping kit video it seems like you had more added to this. could you do a updated video on this frame? im working on my own and i would like some more ideas on what to add to it.

  • Will if its so bat then why does the military spend so much money on wool coats wool shock and blankets.I have a wool blanket my gran dad had back in WW2.this blanket is really heavy.I also have a coat that I got in the Navy which is called a P coat it made of 100% wool and let me tell i have stood out in the rain snow when it was 15 below.an that wool coat kept me warm.now that blanket my gran dad gave me, I have slept out in 10 degree weather comfortably

  • i like your idea of how to use the alice frame. but i used the us training butt pack with the alice keepers instead of the molle. in the center with 1qt. canteens on both sides. it has the extra straps and webbing on it making it a little more expandable. then i places the molle butt pack on the top. i also rolled up the general purpose strap behind the kidny pad for use with the training pack. so i can use all of it without the frame if i had to.

  • Excellent ideas

  • i carryed a 60lb alice pack 4 miles through southern ohio, I think the custom straps would not be a bad option.

  • i lOVe that you did how you wanted with this frame ;0))

  • What temp rating is your wool blanket? I have a couple, are they all rated the same?? Im a new be getting ready to figure this whole thing out ;))) your set up is methodical, and logical. I’m going to adopt part of it for myself. you helped me figure a whole lot out with my bag ;))))) loved the idea about the wool blanket, i bought myself two. makes me think i need to keep my wool right with me. love your videos ;)

  • I Love you ;)))) Where do you live? ;))
