For those who, tragically, cannot understand the slightly garbled voice of Microsoft Sam:

Dear NBC.

First of all, thank you. Thank you for not mutilating our name and purpose beyond recognition, like Fox News has done. Thank you for not referencing isolated incidents of spiteful destruction, like Fox News has done. Thank you for not telling only one side of the story and leaving the other totally unspoken for, like Fox News has done. Overall, thank you for not being like Fox News.

However, like Fox News, you just don't seem to have gotten our point. Our war against the illegal practices of the Church of Scientology had very little to do with Mr. Cruise's video. Our complaint is with the Church's unjustified tax-exempt status. Our complaint is with the Church's paranoid defense of the copyright status of documents that should be free to both members and non-members alike. And although we are very upset over the way the church tried to eliminate information from the Internet, this was ultimately pushed to the proverbial back burner in light of bigger and more disgraceful actions of the church, many of which even you yourselves do not yet know of.

Anonymous humbly requests that you do not attempt to pass off our online conquests as news. These actions are meant as more of an annoyance factor than an actual strategy, and are not important enough to our cause for you to waste time on. Additionally, you must realize that very few of your viewers will even understand them in the first place. Instead, focus on our protests, our attempts to get the IRS remove the Church's tax-exempt status, et cetera.

Additionally, you stated that it was, quote, unclear which members make up the group Anonymous, unquote. Please refrain from saying untruthful things such as this. It is not simply, unclear. To say that it is, unclear, implies that we are a small group trying to hide our identity. In truth, we are an infinitely large group, who hide behind the lack of an identity for our own protection, hence the name Anonymous. We are not a mishmash of Hackers. We are not a simple group of Internet geeks with a grudge against the Church of Scientology. We are Anonymous!

In conclusion, please do not make the same mistakes that fox news made and will soon be held accountable for. As long as you continue to report facts, and only facts about Anonymous, we have, and will never have, any quarrel with you. You are free to go about your business. Please have a nice day.
