  • ...You guys do realize this songs time sig is 12/8 right?

  • Dave is the man!! :) I love the quality of everything on this video!

  • When did this DVD come out? How good is it compared to say Central Park?

  • @Fabri88DMB I finally figured it out (I think!) If I understand you correctly, and I think I do, then you're right. The fill starts on 2&. If a measure of this song is counted 1&ah2&ah3&ah4&ah, then Carter starts the fill on 2&. It's the accents that throw us off. I just closed my eyes and counted when it came to the tricky part. The fill definitely starts on the first 8th note triplet AFTER two, so 2&. Thanks for sharing my curiosity and thanks for helping me figure this out. DMB rocks!!

  • @Fabri88DMB Sometimes it's helpful to think that pauses are nothing but notes we don't play on the drums but we should play in mind; try to add just one eight note on the beat, i hope this will help you to understand this as i did! Let me know what you think about my idea! Bye!

  • @drewper73 It's funny how that drum fill drove me crazy, just like you! Sorry for my english, i hope you'll understand my personal interpretation. No doubt about the start, Carter starts between 2 and 3 (i counted in 4); all the fill is composed by eight note triplet, just imagine Carter plays just the second eight note of the triplet on the second beat, and, therefore, that the fill starts with an eight note pause on the 2 beat.
