Dude, you were right. They went 12-4 for the regular season! Holy crap!

You know it's getting close to football season when peterplaysbass starts making videos.
As for season predictions, I'm going to use Childress's win progression (6-10, 8-8, 10-6) as a model and say we'll go 12-4. I know that's no easy feat but, with me being the homer I am, I think the Vikings will do it.
I can't wait for the season to start. Good to see all the fellas again and go Vikes!

That's awesome, thanks for the encouraging comment. I'll subscribe to you and be sure to see what you come up with following the Vikings this year.

Hooray!
I'm going to check on your channel. Did you finish your DW series? What's new? I guess I'll see...

He didn't look all that good in the blocking drills. He's an amazing runner, of course, but I'm glad Chester Taylor is on the team.
whats the possibility of the vikings running a wildcat type offense? i mean, we have 2 amazing running backs and the fastest receiver out there. who needs a quarterback when we have harvin and peterson. just a thought.

I think the possibility is good. I've read that they're running WC plays at training camp now (with ol' Sage split wide). I'll try to capture a play or two if I go to TC again.
I'll say this: splitting the QB out wide only scares defenses if they can run and catch and show it, or if they get a lateral from whomever takes the direct snap on some sort of delay/trick play and then air it out. The acquisition of Harvin will reveal how creative Childress/Bevell can be, if indeed they are.

how can you say the bears defense is not getting better? did you miss the signing of rod marinelli? the only problem really with our defense last year was the lack of a pass rush.
And Cutler is wayyyyyyy better then any QB on your roster. how you can say different is beyond me.
Bears>Vikings. but idc. when the bears are on top of the division this year then you and all the critics will see.

The Bears old D guys, Ogunleye and Urlacher, weren't at the top of their game last year. Ogunleye had only 5 sacks and CHI did not extend his contract (hmm...), and Urlacher has missed the probowl the last two years. DT Tommie Harris is a young guy with old knees and he needed relief a lot last year.
Minnesota's two oldest, Pat Williams and Antoine Winfield, played lights out last year and made the probowl. Williams missed some time, yes, but he looked healthy and at full 'speed' at camp.

I agree that Cutler is 'wayyyyyy' better than any QB in purple this year. Whether Cutler or Rosenfels can gel with their new teams remains to be seen, and whether Jackson can turn a corner (I'm not holding my breath) is also a mystery.
That said, I believe Minnesota has better weapons. Berrian (you know him) and Harvin and Rice are better (if slower) than Hester and Knox, and I won't believe the Cutler-Bennet chemistry thing until I see it. Olsen > Shiancoe, but by less than most think.

Peterson > Forte, but Forte is an amazing young talent. I'd consider him as a possible number one in a PPR fantasy league.
All that said, thank you for commenting. They're good comments and I welcome fans of rival teams to make conversation. If the Bears win the division this year, I will certainly tip my hat to them.
