NATO is more a solidification of Ukraine's

territorial integrity and addresses the potential of Russia's encroachment.

What would happen if Ukraine was invited to NATO, or at least offered a MAP? What would Russia do? Or is Russia too unpredictable? How would Europe and the world markets be affected? Would Europe help defend Ukraine from Russia? Not yet. At least not Germany and France.

Russia doesn't seek Europe's respect, but its tolerance. How much more will Europe tolerate from Russia?

ukraine needs NATO in order not to be pushed around by russia, but europe and the world economy need russian energy so they cant anger russia by inviting ukraine in now...
