  • @mreslan I've driven both and I can't stand the SMG. It's too restricted and I have no feel of the car. It's boring. Manual is the way to go.

  • @SimplyJoeboe I would agree with you, but pushing a button, and downshifting perfectly as you brake hard, and turn in is an incredible sight, and being able to get a perfect launch, a chirp in the transition from 1-2 and from 2-3 is crazy, and it will do it every single time. This is like the mac vs. Pc debate, everyone is right in their own sense...

  • Pretty much identical speed wise

  • @057gnb3316sef6 you bought a shitty smg and dont know how to drive your car. ive went to many tracks with my smg m3 always beats a manual. and ive never had any problems with the smg. Bmw also gives you warrentys on that smg transmission so if anything goes wrong they will fix it. just face it you bought an abused smg transmission and then you abused it so it broke on you, just as eazy to blow a manual tranny as it is an smg. one bad shift and your grinding the cinkcros.

  • I can chirp 1-2, and 2-3. gotta take that CDV valve out man.

  • @BIMMERMZB

"DCT" double clutch transmission which is what bmw call it also know volkswagen as "DSG"

  • @taran910 the camera is the 6speed... .you can hear him power shifting

  • @bmwdat1 Uhm, I know how to drive stick perfectly rev match, heel toe it's all basic crap. I know how to brake boost and everything else that has to do with a manual transmission. We are talking about us and not "others" with their spec miata's. You may roll with 1400hp supra's but they'd never let you drive it.

  • @RumG0ne my M is kinda quick.. quicker than my FD3 but thats alright ill keep em to myself.. do you not wonder why i roll with shoppe cars and 1400 hp supras? M3 is no film car but either way faster or slower manual will make anyone a better driver than not driving it track or not.. more control is more control i do not know who wouldnt agree with that.. because you buy a viper does not mean your the best round a track, nor fastest; any 10 year vet will embarrass you in their spec miata..

  • @bmwdat1 Lol not a M's have clunk. I've driven M5's M6's with manual and none of them have a clunk. Ohh thanks I like your pretty much stock M3! I'd have fun lapping you at the track!

  • @RumG0ne yes all BMW M's have clunk, but do you know the reason why? ask a tech or do some research, everything in a M is the way it is for a reason, for benefit elsewhere, but i'll let you find that out for yourself & keep boasting

  • @057gnb3316sef6 My m3 is SMG with 97 000 miles and It hasn't even had a relay replaced.
