Yes, she left in protest after they axed Peter Baldwin (Derek). Such waste of two extremely good characters performed by proper character actors. Today's Corrie has little that comes close to the standard it once had.

I never they had one of these. I miss Mavis, she was so sweet and gentle. It's a shame the actress got annoyed with the producers and left the show.
