Psychiatric drugs are usually prescribed as a "solution" to a problem. But they only mask the problem and never allow the person to look at its real cause. Everyone strongly disagrees with the enforced and harmful methods employed by psychiatrists. Psychiatrists fail to mention the horrendous side effects of their drugs. They often cause irreversible damage to the brain and nervous system. These effects usually require a further drug to contain them.

Psychiatry doesn't directly influence much, psychiatrists don't make decisions on their own. The growth of the profession wouldn't have happened if Congress hadn't increased funding. Every atrocity in history that has happened is backed by a false official belief. Like the fact that Nazis thought they were racially superior.

All I have to say is for the people who don't believe in mental illness...I really hope when you have kids/grandkids...that they have a mental illness. Sick as it sounds, it will certainly validate everything for you. Can't wait til you have a daughter who won't stop throwing up her food because of her bulimia, or a son who cuts himself and wants to die. I think that will be enough proof to stop blaming the people trying to HELP others.

I think that mental illness is a human problem that's real and substantial. After decades of seeing psychiatrists, counselors, etc., I have respect for well wishes of some people in the field of psychiatry. But, I also think that psychiatry isn't a science and it's not all that useful. People trying to help people is useful. And, some traditional religions offer meditation techniques that are useful.

How frightening is it that a German psychiatrist is talking about having government controlled by psychiatrists?! Anyone familiar with the history of psychiatry knows that the first 200,000 victims of the Nazi holocaust were psych patients. They weren't just following orders, they were giving them! The largest group of professionals to join the Nazi party? Doctors and psychiatrists. Scary stuff, kids.
Thanks for the vids!

Taking pills to fix your problems, don't fix anything, they just make you want to take more pills! The only person that can save you is yourself!

We need to realise that psychiatrists damage children for life in the same way child molesters do.

Gtrplyr1, mental illness is a social construct, and psychiatry is a dangerous pseudo-science. It absolutely does not hold up to rigorous scientific scrutiny.
Why is it that two equally "qualified" psychiatrists can argue the exact opposite in a court of law? If you're at all interested in educating yourself on this vital issue, I wholeheartedly recommend books by Dr. Peter Breggin as a good starting point.

Everything our body does and feels is due to our brain. Depression is a real thing, A BRAIN PROBLEM. Everyone's brain is different, depending on there lifestyle. Example. Those who drink and use drugs excessively "party people" are going to have smaller brains. With a smaller brain certain parts that control say mood for instance are not going to work as well (secrete hormones) as someone who stays away from alcohol drugs etc, hence feeling depressed. Intelligence, focus, are also included..
