@Johnnystrychnine no, i simply like History and Gastronomy. And i laugh if I read that a mistical Arab man inventend pasta in a magical, defined moment. How can there be a unique origin of a food made by only two, simple ingredients?

Mark Tewsbury looks Italian. What was that recent American swimmer's name that won so many gold medals at the Beijing olympics he put all other swimmers to shame? Somone know? His diet consisted of a kilo of pasta a day, and a large pizza as a midnight snack. Not a joke.

@Marknopfler88 Let me guess, you are employed for a major pasta manufacturer in Italy. And you are right if you work for a pasta manufacturer that pasta has many origins.

@Marknopfler88 I just wanted to give that little cultural lesson. The whole story of pasta from China to Italy is pretty much a legend and for those who can't find a difference between Italian pasta and Chinese mian...well, they're no foodie. :) Cultures develop differently and pasta is no exception!
