100 KM = 62 MPH

right before 100km is 60 mph so 7.5 seconds. thats pretty fast for a 4 cylinder. accord i4 0-60 in 9.5 sec on 177 hp version

@unnota100 well compare it to a tsx, it's as heavy and 2.35L compared to 2.5 and it's still quite a bit faster, yes I understand the tsx is more expensive, but nontheless

i like the altima, but it's not at all fast for a 4banger.

my 2.0L rsx has the same 0-60 time as this 2.5 and the 2.0S rsx beats it by over 2 seconds and it's a SMALLEr displacement 4 cyl.

altima = torque not speed

@SILVER11821 Tell me about it my old maxima 97 did avg 8 to 9 sec. My new 10 altima 2.5S coupe avg 7s sec. Not only that Max had more TQ an 100 LB lighter then my altima.i Do remeber Max needed 91 octane gas compare to my altima thats 87 octane. Truely i wish JP start to bring back the good sports car we all miss. Like Supra, SX, MR2, S2000/NSX. I needed a new car with a budget price. It was ether accord/Impreza 2.5/Eclipse/MX5 but i went with better MPG an good HP. 1 day ill get a FR Sport car

I have a 2005 2.5S and I love it.

for what it is it's pretty fast but many times I have wanted 3.5.There is not a huge difference in fuel economy and the 3.5 is way smoother plus the vq just sounds so damn sexy lol

so I'd say go 3.5

No way you'd "kill" any altima in a stock focus
