The hang drum is made by two people Sabina and Felix from Switzerland.
They originally made the carabiean style steel drums but started make the Hang drum since 2000.
Because there are only two makers in the world and because they are so popular they are very hard to get hold of.
If you woul kile to purchase a Hang you need to write a letter to Sabina anf felix asking for an appointment then wait for a hand written answer when you will be invited to go to switzerland for an appointment. The earliest appointments will be in 2008 when you can go and meet the makers an select a Hang drum which has notes that suit your style of music!

Nice! Too bad you can't play the hang and the dulcimer at once. You could contact a hang drum ace like Dante Bucci (just look him up here on youtube!), who even adds a bit on top of your skill with the hang, while you are an unmatched ace on the hammered dulcimer. A duet of the two of you would probably blast everyone off his or her feet...

The PANart original designers are currently taking a break but are taking a waiting list, and so is the Pantheon Halo company. I've found CAISA from London are available (bellperc.com), and other models from Bali Steel Pan (bali steelpan.com).
