One, two, button up your shoe
Three, four, daddy's at the door
Bringin gifts for baby, bringin gifts for baby
Bringin gifts for baby and babys gonna get a big bang outa that.
Five, six, daddys full of tricks
Eight, nine, sevens outa line
Daddy counts in rhythm, daddy counts in rhythm
Daddy counts in rhythm and babys gonna get a big bang outa that.
And has baby behaved while daddy slaved the day away?
And has baby saved all the kisses daddy craved today?
One, two, kiss your daddy do
Nine, ten, daddy will say when
Daddy loves his baby, daddy loves his baby
Daddy loves his baby and babys gonna get a big bang outa that.

I got it from the 18 disc box set of the Complete Captiol Recordings of the Nat King Cole Trio. Unfortunately it's out of print and it'll cost you $595 to buy it used and a whopping $1,725.00 to buy it new! Maybe I'll post one of the three or four sublime versions of "To A Wild Rose" here one day. Listening to any of those is to understand why Nat and Oscar Moore worked together for 19 years. Thanks for dropping by. It kicks, eh?
