The 8th Muharram mourning procession was taken out in Manchester to commemorate the huge sacrifices rendered by Hazrat Imam Hussain (A.S) and other martyrs of Karbala. Hundreds of mourners participated in the procession that appeared from Platt Fields Park, Platt Lane, off Wilmslow Rd, down the main bazaar Wilmslow Road, ending at 404 Moss Lane East, Moss Side.

Hazrat Hussain (A.S), the grandson of Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH), and his family sacrificed their lives for the name of Islam in this holy month.

With all the things going on in this world and the way that non-muslims view us already, what are they going to think now? In the Qur'an, it CLEARLY MENTIONS not to hurt yourself.

“And make not your own hands contribute to your destruction; but do good; for Allah loves those who do good.” (Quran, 2:195) How clear is this? They are hitting themselves on the chest for what reason? If they want to be punished, Allah(swt) will punish us all in the hereafter according to our deeds. May he forgive us.
