Does the 1990 Lexus LS 400 commercial featuring champagne glasses on the hood of a running car stand the test of time? We found the same type of glasses, a 1990 LS 400 and a 2011 LS 460L and decided to find out.

(see original ad here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=kzjESxiN850 and a Lexus owner's own tests here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sp_hY_Rg1JY&feature=player_embedded)

  • This shows the true quality of Lexus. I bet a brand new Cadillac can't do this test! But a 1990 Cadillac?? If you can find one still running, the glasses would shatter before you even place them on the hood! I say Lexus is the best even though I drive an Infiniti I still acknowledge a truly great car.

  • You didn't have your seatbelt on!!!

  • Makes me love my 460 even more :)

  • NICE!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't even know why I sold my 96 LS 2 months ago. I'll have to get another one, or just get the 460L. great video!

  • I have a 1990 ls 400 right now with 172,000 miles and running like new. Crazy ahead of its time still. Want a big new BMW, just get a used Ls 400 for a better price and perform.

  • I have a 93 LS400 with 212000 miles, it is still an incredibly smooth car.

  • my 1992 ls400 is still going strong. Can't wait until i can afford a newer LS. Love the car

  • am proud of having LS 1995

  • @docbybay neutral bro

  • @NukedJapaneseToyota

HAHAHA OKAY THEN :P! GERMAN CARS HAVE HIGH LEVEL OF HITLER IN THAT CASE!

  • Why aren't the wheels turnning?

  • Japanese cars are now tainted with high levels of nuclear radiation, including Plutonium-238, 239 and 240 which will increase your incidence of cancer, infertility and sperm damage.
