The National Mall in Washington, D.C. has been neglected for years. Much of it is now a national eyesore rather than national treasure. Private donors are looking to take on the rejuvenation.

This video is from 3 years ago. I have seen the Jefferson memorial shored up (A wall has been built so that it wont sink) and the reflecting pool is being repaired.) So that trust foundation looks like a success so far.

I was there two years ago and was shocked by what I saw. I expected fantastic green grass, instead I saw brown, dusty, dirt. it was awful.
