A one child policy would be OK for a generation or two. After travelling to the Philippines it's not hard to see you have tons and tons of young people between approx 15-30 years of age so you wont have a large discrepancy in working age. I have faith in the Filipino people but unfortunately I have lost all faith in the Philippines leadership and especially the Catholic church. All I can really say is good luck, your gonna need it.

what kinda interviewer is that? he sounds freakin' high on something.
Both our Philippine government officials & majority of the filipinos are to blame.Government graft & corruption & not enforcing reproductive health bill resulting of population booming were the main reason of mass poverty. But only if a self impose by the couple itself adopting one child policy like I do,& I'm sure we filipinos can, poverty in our country will reduce in the future and may enhance better standard living to each of everyone. Believe me, adopting one child policy is the solution.

@dysmsk you're forgetting poverty existed way before any population boom. The Philippines is a country with great potential and it has the capability to stop poverty, corruption and exploitation. The problem isn't a population boom, that's always been overrated in talk about poverty because it distracts attention from the real cause - oppressive and exploitative leadership. Policies stemming back from colonial eras based on the rich getting richer and leaving nothing for the poor...
