Many homes constructed between 2004 and 2007 were built using drywall imported from China due to a shortage of American-made drywall.
Florida Senator Bill Nelson tours Florida homes made with Chinese drywall and listens to homeowner's cries for help.
The Chinese drywall, which is made from naturally-mined gypsum (a common mineral), has a distinct sulphur or "rotten egg" smell. In addition to giving off noxious odors, the gases emitted from the defective drywall cause major home systems, such as air conditioners, plumbing, and electrical appliances, to fail by corroding copper wiring and piping. It also tarnishes metals throughout the home. Multiple homeowners have raised health concerns, complaining of headaches, nosebleeds, and respiratory problems since coming into contact with defective drywall.
my house has Chinese drywall and when the rebult the house they stole everything the appliences and my grill and the bulder said its not his problem and when i ased for everything thing to be put back in there like it was and they put cheap ghetto appliences in my house. FUCK ASHTON WOODS homes

Let's look at the problem Bill since you have neglected to address it. Why did contractors buy the Chinese Drywall? Because of accelerated building code costs, lack of state licensing for the drywall industry, cheap unqualified labor rates, or because insurance companies that help pay for your incumbency would risk losing millions? The black on the copper could have been from moisture intrusion that effected every home in Florida during the 2004 hurricanes. Bill the Shill Ladies and Gents.

Here's an idea: Buy the better built older homes in the older neighborhoods with existing services and fix them up while improving the neighborhood instead of moving to cheaply built new houses on ruined farmland and wild lands.
I'm sorry these folks are stuck with the crappy drywall, but it's a symptom of a bigger problem which is suburban sprawl,

Chinese drywall will be the one two punch to whats left of the residential housing market. It's not just a bad product, the corrosion to copper pipes and wire basically ruins the entire house.

On March 10, 2009, Senator Nelson voted to table Sen. Jeff Sessions' amendment to the 2009 Spending Omnibus -- essentially killing the The E-Verify employment verification program. Sen Nelson likes the billions of dollars in the Stimulus bill to be able to go to his politically connected contractors that hire illegal aliens- E Verify would have stopped that. go to Numbersusa to learn more

Are you f$%*& serious?
Where is the money gonna come from to pay contractors to fix the houses? Cause It sure as hell aint coming from "equity". "Homeowners Insurance" for Chinease drywall? Insurance didn't want to pay Katrina victims!
What does this mean if the Bank worked with the builder of the sub-division, like Bearzer and Wells Fargo or KB Home and Bank of America or vice versa to build the homes? Who is liable in such a case?
Who do you sue then?
Welcome to the matrix of fruad.
