There was a huge waterfall display at the 1904 St Louis World's Fair called "The Cascades". Joplin was impressed and wrote this rag.

This the best intrepretation I've heard...very faithful to the original tempo and pedal work

Nice Job. This is one of Joplins finest rags. Very majestic. You played it well. Written for the St Louis fair in the early 1900s.
