@shock7777 i thought by machine he meant our flesh or sinful desires. What you said counts as our flesh and the pressure of the world is to live for our flesh. The start sounds like he's saying don't disappoint the world by showing them the good in you which is what our flesh wants and i think that when he says 'wake up' he's referring to how when we live to please our flesh rather then God we can be 'asleep' in terms of our life with God. when living for God we're killing our flesh.
