Just a fun tribute to one of my all time favorite movies.
I was sitting downtown
reading my paper
when I started thinkin' bout
meetin' my maker
My belly's feelin' empty
and hollow to the core
waitin' for my noodle sushi

That funny little cook
started waivin' his mitt
screamin' 'plenty places
for me to sit'
No sooner wiped my chopsticks
I'm wrapped in the back
by a uniformed policeman
and a flatfoot named Gaf
I tells 'em I is quit
when I walk through Bryant's door
but if I don't play ball
I'd be hittin' the floor
As he pours a drink or two
I says it ain't legal
Bryant says 'if you ain't cop
why you're only little people'
So I'm out of doors again
yes, I'm walkin' the beat
Otherwise Bryant said
I'd be in for some heat
So I pick me up some scales
while I'm cleanin' the tub
which led me to 4th Sector
and Taffy Lewis' club
Drinkin' solo ain't my gig
and I figured she'd be glad
But it ain't her kind of place
no matter who picks up the tab
Now Rachel she's a fine one
and a replicant to boot
But she ain't fool enough to go
for somethin' simple as loot
Next thing I know
I'm shootin' women in the back
Gotta be a better way
to get outta Hackensack
Not to make a fuss
but when you're buyin' booze
just exactly who needs
Bryon James on his caboose?
So as the fight progressed
I wasn't lookin' fine
But surely pleased to see
that Rachel standin' behind
She wasted no time
in airin' Leon out
I'd fallen in love
and surely there was no doubt
Now back at my pad
as I bled in the sink
Rachel played piano
as I caught a few winks
Cross town at JF's
no, it wasn't cornflakes
'cause when Roy Batty's your guest
you got breakfast to make
Now if you ask me Tyrell
shoulda stayed in his bed
Did you see what that guy Roy
later did to his head?
To the Bradbury Hotel
to check I was told
I arrived there tired, wet
and most certainly cold
Not a creature was there
just a lot of nice toys
But wait, what's that movin' over there
a girlfriend of Roy's?
I'm not a wise man
but I'm willin' to teach
She may look like Madonna
but she moves like
Nadia Comaneci
As she picked my nose
and turned my head
I thought I musta ended
in Linda Blair's bed
As fun as it was
our affair had to end
or I'd be needin' some serious
nasal decongestant
Roy Batty returned
and the party began
when he snapped three fingers
in my right hand
A fair fight for sure
just like a match-up
between Bruce Lee
and Princess Bride's Butter Cup
When I got to the roof
I knew there's no way
this fight'd go any smoother
than a day at Pompeii
I ran and jumped high
but not enough
I might as well have been
H.R. Puffenstuff
Roy Batty just sat there
and he talked to me
in words more than both fine and clean
about how people would never ever believe
in what it was that he'd seen
I sat there and watched him die as he lived
a young man noble and true
That clever Roy Batty there never lived
a finer man that I knew
'Too bad she won't live'
was ringin' in my ear
But these were not the words
that I wanted to hear
So I rushed home to find
Rachel still in my bed
with the sheets covered all the way over
her head
Gaf had been there all right
of this I was sure
Why he left tin foil
all over my floor!
As we fled this dark city
one thought became clear
Without Gaf on our backs
we had nothin' to fear
