If you're having difficulty wiping out the Rachni, I'd suggest maybe killing as many as possible then sending your team in to divert their attention before the 2 minute deadline. Use whatever defenses your class has as a boost and leg it to the elevator. I suspect it could work, although your squad may end up being cannon fodder. Good luck.
