This video was taken in the 1950s at the Virginia State Fairground Racetrack in Richmond. It features a sportsman/modified race around the 1/2 mile dirt track. The race cars are from the 30s, 40s and 50s. Included is rare footage of Wendell Scott, the first Afro-American driver to win a NASCAR Cup Series Race, in Car 89. This is very early in his career before he raced with number 34 on his cars. This track is now paved and a mile in length.
