it did not say anything about nonsexual. I guess monks are people who aims to be non-sexual but most of them are known to be suppressed closet gays, trying to be non-sexual is a way for them to deny their own natural instinct to be gay..

I mean the point of the survey probably is that pple who are struggling with sexuality often have to deny their own insecurity by saying "I am not gay" just to reassure themselves ..

and take Ted Haggard for example, the pathetic man has been hating his own kind, gays, for years until he could no longer deny his own sexuality anymore..
