    The Chinese and Japanese also put the month before the date, but they put the year at the beginning unlike Americans. I think that order (Year Month Date) is much more logical.

    Americans prefer to express the date as month/date; much of the rest of the world formats the date as date/date. So to me today is 3/14 and others it is 14/3.
