One of the ways I make a castor mound set with a foothold on a drowning wire from start of the set to the catch.

  • would a #2 coil spring be an ok trap for beavers?

  • @georgesantoro It would be a little on the small side. If you target the front foot it will hold, the back foot is iffy.

  • What gauge wire are you using?

    You have a great channel!

    My Associates & I LOVE-IT!!!!!

  • @79Testo I keep pounding till it doesnt go anymore.

  • @blakcanis

Also that wired peeled pole you are hammering into the bottom of the swamp, how deep are you hammering the pole in the mud, you are also hammering that wire in there too pretty deep in the mud.

  • nice vid, you do what I do, flip that loose jaw over in case it snaps your finger isn't in the way LOL

  • @79Testo 11ga wire and a universal swivel for the slide lock, most beaver traps have the universal swivel at the end of the chain, run the wire so it slides down the wire.

  • @blakcanis

What gauge wire and type of slide lock are you using?

  • @blakcanis

    They'd work now too right?

The Beaver's natural instinct is to jump back in the water after being caught by its foot and that's where he succumbs cause he can't rise to the top?

  • @pcountyredneck I'm in WI and they work in spring and in the fall.
