In this lecture video Jim Janossy illustrates how computers store and convey information represented as binary digits (bits) the different types of modern computer memory, their uses and characteristics. You also see how gates are assembled into circuits, how integrated circuits are manufactured, and how they are assembled on printed circuit boards into motherboards, and the internal appearance of a common desktop computer. This video is a part of a series of lecture videos for CSC-200 at DePaul University's College of Digital Media (CDM).
