hungary, check rep, slovakia, slovenia, croatia and poland are WESTERN culture ( = roman catholic or protestant) russia, lithuania, latvia, ukraine, estonia, greece, serbia and romania are ORTHODOX (= eastern/orthodox christianity) cultures. romania is not slavic, but orthodox. The only orthodox + slavic country borders hungary is ukraine. the culture of catholic slavic countries r more similar to d german than to the russian. check rep & germany is protestant & austria is catolic by the way

He is a true magician of cinematograph. His films have an incomparable aura of despair, restraint of space and complexity of human relations. Kárhozat , Sátántangó, A londoni férfi are to be considered as masterpieces of european cinematograph. Moreover, his films are part of the world culture. Unhappily, A torinói ló is the last film of Hungarian Maestro.
