My opinion of Mormonism is very offensive to Mormons so I won't mention it(but I still respect your right to your own beliefs).

Evolution is a modern religion and a modern myth.

Yes, but christianity has been proven wrong time and time again. I agree that it's all just silly, but mormonism at least makes an attempt to make it interesting, in my opinion. LOL
-
@Hereticbooks In one sense I agree with you. It's no more (or less) silly than all the other religions - and yes they are all ridiculous fictions.
However, the Mormon religion is slightly different because it started around 1830, Joseph Smith was a documented fraud (see the court records) and their stories about Indians having Hebrew origins, an Iron age civilization in the Americas, sheep, cattle etc, here before Columbus are demonstrably false. Christianity has the advantage of old age.

So what's your problem with it? It's no more rediculous than any other religious sect. By the way, you're off on the dark skin following lucifer thing. That was a rumour, but I've been unable to find any documents verifying it. But as for people becoming Gods. Yes, that is a true doctrine of their faith. My question for you....why is this more rediculous than protestant, catholic or islamic myths?
-
Yes... and then there was that other time the Vikings invaded Mars which is why martians worship Odin.... fun times, you shouldve been there man. And Christopher Columbus landing on the moon. And that time the French beat us at the battle of Hastings with 2 flashy atomic bombs. And when they first invented the car before the wheel...somehow

This has got to be the most funny thing I have seen in weeks. And if they really believe all this - that just makes it even funnier :D

I like the music much better, here, than in the original. I think that the original had some very harsh-sounding music. Too bad the original film-maker didn't choose a more "soothing" type of music: just like mormons have, at Mormon Conference time.

The references about "Kolob" come from a morman scripture known as "The Pearl of Great Price". And, was supposedly written by the direct hand of Abraham, of antiquity.

If a jewish zombie can come back to life and heal people, why not toss in teleportation as well!
I am severely confused with your position. How can any religion be more false than another if none contain any truth?
The God makers was christened with a lynching of a Mormon after it's first showing according to the authors own material, and they justified the murder. I can tell you that the information on this vid is incorrect in a few spots; obvious flaws in logic point out some.

If I say, "The sky is brown," I'd be telling a falsehood.
If you then said, "The sky is brown, and dogs have wings," you'd be telling two falsehoods.
Neither one of us spoke any truth, but what you said was more false than what I said.
I've never seen "The God Makers" in full, and as I've said in the video description, I can't vouch for its veracity. The point of the video is to show that TheAmazingBeliever simply regurgitated the cartoon in his video on Mormonism.

I love how this is no more or less implausible than regular old Christianity. It's all ridiculous.

I disagree. I think of it this way: pre-rabbinic Judaism is ridiculous. Christianity supposedly takes pre-rabbinic Judaism and adds more doctrines on top of it, making it more ridiculous. Mormonism takes Christianisty and adds even more implausible stories and doctrines.
Therefore, although Judaism, Christianity, and Mormonism all contain equal amounts of truth (zero), the religions get more false as they move from Judaism to Mormonism.

I dunno... the way I see it, once you pile the bullshit high enough it gets kinda hard to tell just how much bullshit you're dealing with. And Judaism is as syncretic as its "spin offs" or just about any other religion are. Anyways, that's just my opinion.

I think the idea that Jesus came to America makes sense, since it's makes no sense for Jesus to show up in one corner of the world and then let the religion spread slowly across the world. The only problem is that there is no evidence whatsoever of that happening.
I demand we fight a war over whether Mormonism is stupider than or as stupid as regular Christianity! :)
