Can a 150whp Focus find a place among the bigboys on an international road race circuit? Well it depends on car set-up and the driver's experience/skill/nerve....

This 2 part video documents a complete HPDE session at this iconic road race facility.

  • A 150WHP can outrun a $250K Ferrari if it's owner is retarded, so comparisons to M5 are not relevant. HPDE performance has nothing to do with car capability. This training highlights the incompetent driver. The bigboys you refer to are proficient drivers, not impressive hardware. A 135i with ice cold tires will smoke a Focus with warm rubber and EQUAL driver. If your lap times put you in slowpoke D group. There are stock sedans worth $5K running strong in B with experienced driver.

  • i like the little pop-ups explaining what the lights represent
