I now realize that, in time, the Beatles name will faded away, but the name of Christ will last forever.

man look you obviously have strong faith so i wont argue with you about that but most people these days don't. for people like me who don't believe in god at all the beatles are actually bigger because they are real (and also because i love they're unreal). the thing is the comment by lennon was taken so out of context, he wasnt saying they thought they were bigger than jesus he just said for some teens in england at least they were more popular than jesus. abnd he probably wasnt wrong

Bigger than JESUS ??? what do we all celebrate in December since many centuries ago ?? why there is a A.D and B.C. on the years ??? Dont we hear, see or write GOD (God bless ,Thank God, god damn) Whenever we encounter a terrible problem as getting aids or being told by doctors that theres no cure At some point WE ALL have asked God help dont we? In my family The Beatles ARE bigger than Jesus. You can question God, Jesus, religion, say it's real or fake, and no one will judge you for your opinion, if you say you hate The Beatles- that is a deal breaker :) Seriously though, John was right, he didn't say they were BETTER, he just said that they were BIGGER, which is true. Alot of kids then and NOW care more about their favorite band than they do about religion. That's the truth. You don't have to like it, but, that's the way it is!

It's complete illogical rationalizing. In fact, the controversy stems from three major fallacies. (1)A category error in Division- arguing that the action of a single property (Lennon) represents the whole(The Beatles). (2) an attack on John Lennon personally as opposed to the statement he made (attacking the arguer, not the argument) And (3)attacking Lennon when he was simply no being literal (ad verecundiam)
