"Equipment These Days" ~ An Animated Exercise by Patrick Jensen

Creating during my second year at Ringling College of Art and Design in 2003

The objective: To create a 12 second short after creating a character that has no mouth and big eyes, that has to lift, push, or pull an object to demonstrate weight and potray a sense of thought and believability. The Result: I thought a knight would be perfect for this exercise, because the helmet would conceal his mouth, and he could be lifting anything from a dragon he just slayed to a shield that happens to be too big for him.

@robertc009 I think it was one week to model, rig, texture, and do blendshapes. Then two weeks for animation, lighting, and background.

yep, very good "push and pull", deserves an A. Very natural looking movement. Really good effort for a first animation. Well done.

Immediately lost all chances of being my fave cuz they played it twice to make it look longer and cuz it was waaaaaaaay too short.
