  • @kaarutomuson - if 'muscling' is what you're seeing, you're not seeing the technique and the beauty of the execution. Uke also is not 'dancing' - uke is continuing to attack. If uke doesn't keep moving, the technique is over. Endo Shihan is amazing because he is TOTALLY RELAXED and he drops his centre - that is what causes uke to go down. If he was muscling uke down, believe me, uke would not be going down.

  • Brilliant!! Aikido is sublime

  • Endo hosts seminars throughout the year.

If you think you are seeing "strength" I strongly encourage you to attend one and get on the end of him.

  • Great master, the only one I love to watch. He actually made me love Aikido!

  • Great explanation but totally lacking in basic understanding of the art as it was taught by the founder. Not hurting: Osensei would not give shodan to those who did not have the spiritual strength aligned with physical skillsets to eliminate pain. Endo moves with the muscle power from his arms while uke dance for him to stay "alive" for unbalancing. Not "forcing" an opponent down... if that means his opponent meekly goes down for him it means nothing. The very effort not to go down is a gift...

  • @Divuston AHAHAHAHAHAH, you gotta be kidding me? hahaha!

  • His words seriously touched me.

    How inspiring. =].

  • @suridan trying to regain balance, center and strength

  • i love this sensei and his philosophy... we should smile when we hear these words of kindness. students of endo-sensei gambatte kudasai.. you have a great teacher!

  • These are wise words, and these principals should be taught in every dojo no matter what style you choose to study.
