  • Can anyone tell me what is the first scene with the two women in this video from, what movie?

  • Andrei Tarkovsky is indeed one of the greatest auteurs of all time, along with Kurosawa, Bergman, Fellini, Luis Bunuel, Satyajit Ray and Stanley Kubrick.

  • @AMBat3rdrock Your comment moved me a lot, I can relate.

  • make your comparisons and live with your opinions, some things ARE set in stone and godamnit this certainly IS. I am moved when I witness such artistry in a medium that has become misunderstood and tampered with to such an extent that you can so easily distinguish the profit hungry madmen from pure cinema geniuses YES its a cliche but thats what it is PURE CINEMA. It is a great loss not only to the art but to humanity, YES im whimsical about and a bit NOSTALGIC but fuck it you have to be.

  • this is art not bollywood!

  • @cineasta71 Pretentiousness alert but yeah i completely agree with you.

  • @blaiserfilms

"actually it's very clear the majority of films are better today than back then"

You don't understand shit of what i am saying.

Just go a try to get a distribution deal for your shorts instead of burping.

  • @cineasta71 actually it's very clear the majority of films are better today than back then. i love old cinema better, we're on the same page in taste, but technology is way better today than it was back then. take a person to "transformers" in the 60's and they would've lost their shit. i know it's all corporate bullshit, trying to make money, etc.... but the point is they followed the exact same formula back then. both era's have brilliant and shitty movies. stop being so shallow

  • @blaiserfilms Look canuck kid, let me explain it to you. What i meant is that back then when AT was god, the average film was way way superior of what it is now. Malick is opening a masterpiece, not doubt but so is Transformers and many more. The dumming down culture and corporate greed have their way now but not back then when films were made with metaphysical transcendence, do you want me to explain metaphysical transcendence to you, fucking moron??!!!
