In that same interview he also staed that Kerry had a cut on his arm and as a result they had to somehom incorporate that into the match.

What great psycology in the match and after the match. You really feel that these guys want that belt so bad...something lacking sometimes today.

Kerry was an absolute shell of his former self after his 1986 motorcycle accident. Before that, he was so athletic and fast. But I have to give him credit for being able to put on a show like this while missing a foot.

The original standing of double disqualification should have stood. After the first ref woke up and disqualified both, along those rules is how the titles should pass hands if indeed either do so. The part of the match with the second referee was illegal. The match was over..

This was a sign of the end of the AWA and WCCW. When Gagne started losing money and Fritz started losing money, they combined the two organizations with this angle. It would last a few years and then that was all she wrote. When they started pushing this angle, I was a bit sad knowing the end was in sight for the AWA and WCCW. Too bad.
