Online Network Data Animation - Binned data

All data from Collaboration network, this time binned into 15 90-day bins. Still does not look optimal, as the nodes never stay on the screen, and the bins are jumpy. I suspect there are some settings I can tweak.

Used my dissertation data to create a movie using SoNIA. http://www.stanford.edu/group/sonia/

The squares are Projects, and circles are Users who are collaborating. The entire dataset has 4059 projects and over 380 users. The subset of the data was built using STATA interfacing to a mySQL database, representing 3 years of online collaborations. Custom output .do files were written to put thing in proper SoNIA format.

A yellow flash-line signifies a post being made, and line width changes based on number of posts. Node size for USers is based on total number of projects, and node size for the Projects grows as mode users become involved.

The software works fine, but I think it takes too much time to get things the way anyone would want them. I had to render every 30 events, and I rescaled after each frame, otherwise all the nodes would be off doing their thing without be seeing it.
