The problem with the Iron 883 it attracts the wrong people: traffic cops,traffic cams, bums wanna bes', pussy... cats. but I still love my Iron. Try to convience your wife for a mod or an upgrade, tell her slowly :-p .... Great bike! Ride on!

@tkaranikolas i haven't had that problem yet. maybe it's the aloha spirit here in hawaii. :) but the mods are coming slowly. not so much performance upgrades yet, but more aesthetic.

Congrats on you bike. Question, I own a 1200c and my friend is looking at buying a sportster as well so we can go cruisen. My bike is very quick and my friend isn't sure if he wants an iron 883 or a 1200 nightster because of the performance difference. Ive never driven a newer 883, so my question is, does this bike have some power, or is it a dog. Either way, you have a bitchin bike. Thanks

@bpurdy305 since it''s my first bike, it's plenty of "umph" for me. In comparison to a 1200 nightster, I'd say go with whatever style he prefers because he could always do the 1200 conversion mod. I just bought the parts of a passenger seat, so I'll have a better idea after I pack my wife on. Not expecting any problems though.
