Dude! Awesome! I won a Ghoul Look-A-Like contest in 1983 right about when that Son of Ghoul guy was hanging around pestering Ron Sweed, Queen Barb was still married to him, met her too. I rode the hippity hop the whole way across the stage so that clinched it for me! ;-D

You are right, I watched the ghoul on 61 in the early 70's while living in Mentor, OH, and then watched him in Detroit on channel 50 in the late 70's. From what I remember, his show was better when it was in Cleveland. He would drink beer and smoke while doing the show. What a role model for a 10 year old! Even at that age I knew it was just a gag.

ron sweed used to live in brightmoore in the late 70's... we used to go over to his house and hang out, he would hide and try to not open the door but we knew he was hiding inside. ;)

Back in the 80s he returned to Detroit TV at the then WXON ch 20. After they cancelled his show, I did not see any other station bring him back to the airwaves! So sad!

How can I get The Ghoul show on video or dvd? I have bought all of the ones that are commercially available but want more! It'd be nice to see the whole movies with segments and everything but due to the time factor mostly just the segments seem to be available.
