I love the way that the news has posh state-of-the-art (at the time) graphics and apart from the knight Anglia had bits of card with stuff stuck to them!

before the clip ended it sounded like he was gonna say " the attorney general has fucked"

Go there Leonard. True legend

You don't get newsreaders like Leonard Parkin these days. It was like being given the day's events by an erudite and cultured chap.
-
nice that they play the fanfare even when the clock is shown.

Leonard Parkin is the man.

The days when regional telly was good, instead of the dumbed down shite we have now!

Found a date for this - Tuesday 2nd June 1987; so this clip comes close to Leonard Parkin's retirement (on Friday 17th July 1987).
"Hindsight" was a Border Television production for the network, and as mentioned, "That's My Dog" was from TSW, also for the network. A sad irony to see these two companies with networked show back-to-back, considering there are now no local ITV programmes at all, never mind networked programmes, which come from Carlisle or Plymouth.
What year is this from???
