I am having this same problem with my Gainward GTX 560ti, and it's infuriating because it only seems to happen on certain maps, particularly the Back to Karkand maps. Nothing here has fixed it for me.. However whilst messing with the graphics settings mid-game while standing in a spot where the problem was occuring, I found that turning 'Mesh Detail' down made a significant improvement, in real time. But when I went further into the map and it started happening in a different place.

Good to see i'm not the only one with this problem.. I got 2 Asus GTX 560 TI.

I had the same problem, turn the texture setting to medium and that should stop it.
I had this problem, after days of research I finally found that it is a nvidia control panel issue. Go into your nvidia control panel settings and select battlefield3 then change pre-rendered frames from 3 to 2 (this is how many frames are processed through your cpu before sent to your gpu). Then make sure single display performance mode is selected if you are only using a single monitor for display. That fixed my arifacting and crashing on all maps. enjoy!

@JoshuaGagle I tried that, and put my settings on ultra/max, and while running around capturing bases everything appeared again. Also had someone I know with this issue too try it and same thing. So this did not solve the problem. So far just turning down a few of the settings worked. Leaving everything on "ultra" and lowering the "4x" to 0 and things like that solved this.

Your psu is insufficient

@exploitedtaken That has been debunked several times with everyone out there having this issue.

Turning down some MSAA settings from 4 to 2 or most likely zero did seem to make go away or occur less often...
