Whoever hacked this video together with the voice over should have just created their own original ad, instead of stealing a commercial so famous. The rhetoric is dumb. It's more right wing garbage. Get over it. Obama won. Millions died under Bush, and thousands will die under Obama. (I'm not a big Obama fan, especially with his entanglement in Afghanistan and his handling of the economy. ) But this fear tactic stuff is just plain sad.

This video was created by an advertising agency. The airing of this ad did not "win" the 1964 vote for LBJ...he would have won w/o this ad. This ad was developed and aired to portrat the intentions of the Goldwater/Miller ticket. Their platform concerning SE Asia was nuclear in nature. Any Nuclear action by US would have surely triggered a nuclear reaction by China and/or Russia. This ad was not aired to say "Vote for Me" (LBJ) it was meant to say "Vote for the survival of America"

FDR put America into WW2 when anyone would have...he was a day late and a dollar short 12-7-41??? A child would have had the common sense to do it after Pearl Harbor.

At the time, this ad was quite relevant. I'm not sure that people below age 40-ish or those who have not studied political history intensively would really grasp the impact of this ad.
