Amanda Martin was unrepresented when she appeared on a reckless driving charge in Henrico General District Court last year. She was found guilty, had her driver's license suspended, and fined $500. She was also now a mother with a criminal record -- Reckless Driving is a Class 1 misdemeanor in Virginia.
She contacted Virginia reckless driving attorney Tony Stelly.
He appealed the case to circuit court and got the charge reduced to speeding.
Amanda did not lose her license, and her fine was halved.
Most importantly, she has no criminal record.
