  • Only in Las Vegas do they knock down buildings as entertainment. To go so far as to have a fireworks show is so unique to your city. :) I enjoyed it but probably breath better for having watched it through the magic of the interwebz! LOL.

  • @thizizliz I was parked far enough away from the original implosion that no dust drifted my way. I was surprised, however, the dust from the following day didn't drift across the street very fast. We were able to get back to the car without encountering any dirtt clouds. It was really neat to see the building fall...standing so close to it. -Steve-

  • Amazing..

  • @Poemsapennyeach Amazing, but sad...so much of 'old' Vegas has been imploded over the past few decades. Much of the city's original charm has been swept away by the dump trucks. As is life...everything is only for a moment. -Steve-

  • I find most fireworks finales annoying but that fireworks show was overly so. I guess Vegas isn't the place for me.

  • @Myk63 Vegas likes to do things really BIG! The fireworks went on for almost 15 minutes ( I cut out much of them) However, in defense of this fireworks display....it was New year's Eve and they were imploding a hotel. It was amazing to be there...the sound of the building explosives alone were awesome. -Steve-

  • @OceanTownPictures Yes , i know Steve...I noticed that and thought the 'picturesque' quality from the old Rat Pack days had gone..to be replaced by higher and higher High Rise..(money doesn't talk it screams). A case of killing the goose which lays the Golden Egg...

  • @OceanTownPictures Wow - amazing and wonderful. Really the opportunity of a lifetime. And you shared it with us!! Too cool.
