He was the best!! Forry even published a letter I sent to him in Famous Monsters issue #213. All I did was comment briefly on how I enjoyed the horror films of the 30's, 40's & 50's and there it was. I could'nt believe it.

I miss you, Forry!

It used to drive his wife nuts to open their home to strangers, but Forry just couldn't keep his amazing collection to himself. He was COMPELLED to share it with the world.

I will always remember Forry for sharing his milk and cookies with me, when i visited to Ackermansion in the 70s!!
He was the greatest and we miss him so.....

my husband and i had the opportunity to visit his ackermansion in 2001 (a day or so before 9/11 in fact) He is a most gracious host and the time we spent there I'll always treasure. :)

He is very sweet and very kind and also very funny. I met him twice years ago and I'll never forget it.
Rest in peace Forrest.

I was lucky enough to have spent a little time with Forry over the last few years--lunch a few times, driving him home, visiting his house (the 'minimansion' he had moved into)--I felt special and priveleged to have been his 'audience of one' on those occasions...his stories, his impish sense of humor, the twinkle in his eye. Beyond his immeasurable influence on so many people, he was a true gentleman and generous soul. Good-bye Forry, thank you for giving me memories to cherish.
