Shine permanently, only my mind's concernin' me. Fire burns in me eternally times eternity.

Happy Birthday Rakim.

I ain't scared to comment a lot on this page. Rakim is the man. POINT BLANK!! I swear mad people need to pay homage to Rakim when he gets inducted into the Funk Hall of Fame along side with Eric B.
-
Most of Rakim's songs is Timeless. Especially the Upbeat joints like I Ain't No Joke, My Melody, I Know You Got Soul, Paid in Full, Eric B. is President, Microphone Field and AWWWWWWWW THE LIST IS TOO BIG TO FIT ON THIS PAGE.
-
Now I'm mad because I could of recorded this. I was more into Cartoons when this Clip came out on Real T.V. Back in the days where you WATCHED THE WHOLE SCREEN.
-
If people sleep on Rakim's next new Album in 2012, then they ain't true to the Hip Hop and need to stop talking about it. Seriously.
-
This is my favorite video because they played this on NBC. Thank God he was televised hard.
-
I love Videos that got that VHS Quality going on. Old School Forever.
Check out Rakim's DOPE-ALICIOUS lyrics from 18th Letter...c'mon Brothers & Sisters, rap along with me:..."I split seas for Moses...."

Some may follow, but nobody will get ahead, it's that simple. Rakim is impeccable, so fluid he's off-the-hook Dope, liquid Gold! Man, this brother is like opium to the ears; you can free-base The "R" off the speakers, no other MC comes even close: he was at his zenith in 86, and today he's twilight years ahead, both lyrically and philosophically. God said: Let there be Hip-Hop. And there was The "R".
