Viva Voceis the songwriting team of Kevin and Anita Robinson who met and married in rural Alabama over a decade ago, relocated to Portland and made their first four-track demo as Viva Voce in 1998. Since then, they have released a number of critically acclaimed recordings and toured extensively . As for describing their music? Indie rock? Too polite. Psychedelia? Too old-school. The Future Will Destroy You is Viva Voce's fifth full-length and the band's debut for Vanguard Records. Written, performed, produced and mixed entirely by the duo at their Portland home studio. The Future Will Destroy You serves as a showcase for Anita's post-psychedelic guitar heroics. The ballad "No Ship Coming In" has her vocals gliding over a pool of shimmering space-roots atmospherics.
