http://www.autodesk.com/motionbuilder Autodesk MotionBuilder provides a sophisticated set of tools for doing real-time character animation. In this presentation, we are going to be looking at how we can use MotionBuilder to set up shaders, retarget animation data onto existing characters, and use the story tool to edit together multiple animation clips. Then well be looking at animation layers, and well finish off using the rag-doll solver to dynamically generate character animation.

All these videos from Autodesk suck, I have wasted 8 hours just trying to learn to rig a character. The whole exercise proved a waste of time, I wasnt able to follow any of the tutorials as the video got to a point where the setup wasnt the same as mine, like when I was trying to match bones, I couldnt see the bones on my model, and the tutorial didnt explain how to see them. I really want to get into 3d, but this program doesnt have any decent tutorials for new users.

@MugenTsukiyomi You should go to the-area dot com, there are free example files there, with videos. Not only for Motion Builder but for Maya, 3dsmax, Softimage and Mudbox.

start providing project files for us instead of just demonstrating things. If you want views to be happy then you will start doing that.
