My version of Blind Willie McTell's song, made famous by the Allman Bros. I've been playing this for years and it's just evolved. This for Eric and Kass. This, my first recording with the Rode NT1A going into my laptop from a tubepre. I'd like some feedback on what you think about the sound. Blind Willie, of course, played a big old 12 string guitar. This is a 6 string Recording King 12 fret.
Please check out my blog piece on Atitlan Blue for some more thoughts on this number.

Man, you get my award for the best comment that I have received to date. That just made it all worth it.....the maybe 9.478% of all the practice that seemed like work. The rest, was a gas. Poor Black Matte or Bachelor Blues soon.

  • Carl..... you got HAPPY FINGERS and a great voice!!! Thanks for sharing your vids!

Thanks a lot....don't being grouped with Taj at all. His Natch'l Blues is my favorite blues disk of all time! Enduring groove!

    Thank you,

    Rai :))

  • Great skill and voice. Love this style :D

  • It sounded good coming out of the Laptop "speakers" so I think, well Jesus let's replay that properly. Plugged in Sony MDR-7506. Guitar sounds good, bass comes through well, Vocals in and out. A little attenuation on the voice and there it is. Got a good beat, easy to dance to, I'll give it a 95.

  • Sounds you made a great "deal with the devil" because your singing and playing is not from this earth.. Take care, Ronald

  • nice work

  • wow, that really cool. Nice song, and that guitar sound make it marvellous. I like it. Thanks.
