The LadyTrucker Chronicles....Meet Candy!

This LadyTrucker was a delight, and although I did not hit her with a barrage of questions about trucking, she was eager to share about her job. I met her and a driver from Covenant, on Monday, June 6. The both of them sure did brighten up my Monday morning! Thank you, Candy! And thank you to Michael from Covenant Transportation!

This woman tackles every type of road conditions, bad weather, hilly terrain, erratic work hours and bad diet, and unlike you, she can SPELL. This woman is a professional driver, and is worthy of more respect than you are showing her. Shame on you! And by the way she put that truck in the dock, she can drive backwards better than you drive forward!

@rockmychevys350 Well, your statement came across as the stereo-typical ladytruckdrivin' hatin' male chauvanist pig....my bad, sorry! As for what Candy makes per mile, she is a company driver, and I am pretty sure she stated what the drivers get starting out. It's not how much you make that earns people's respect, it is how you conduct yourself, and how you present yourself. The way you drive your rig is what impresses me, not the size of the paycheck.

@rockmychevys350 This is a slow time of year for freight with many companies. I would suppose it all comes down to what you haul that will determine if you stay busy all year or not. And we are in a bad economy right now. Anyone who has a job is grateful for it, whether they make .30 a mile, .36 a miles, or .88 a mile, at least they are working. No matter what you charge, someone will always underbid you.

@mc803066 Then feel free to peruse the videos in my ongoing video series entitled, "The LadyTrucker Chronicles". Every woman that you see is a professional truck driver, if you are looking for lot lizards, try your local Pilot truck stop. 10 years ago, I was mistaken for a lot lizard, some people can't believe that a woman can be pretty, and drive a truck, too.  I don't think I'm a 'man hater', but I don't think I'm liking YOU very much right now, lol!

@NJKatwoman ive watched several of your videos...3-4 of them look like fucking hookers..what you do pull them out of the lot lizards in the back rows. these are steering wheel holindg freight hauling wanna bes. They wouldnt know a hard job if it smacked um in the face. let see them run 2500 miles straight through wit ha load of cattle id love to see their winney asses do it cause i gaurantee they cant without bitching about it.

@domino817 sigh, you weren't listening or paying attention either, now were you? Candy gets paid for the miles as soon as she hooks up to the load. It is impossible for anyone to run a 7,000 week as a solo driver, and even a team would be running their ta-ta's off with a 7,000 mile week. You also now must go sit in the corner and write on a pad, 100 times, "The next time a woman speaks, I will truly LISTEN". ;)
