Many Muslims in the UK think they're unfairly treated by the British Press. This ranges from the sensationalist tabloid headlines about 'Islamic extremists' and 'fanatics' to the slightly more sophisticated mid-market and broadsheet analysis of the 'threat' Islamists pose to British society. So is islamophobia in the British Press fact or fiction? Nina Arif reports . . .

@freedombase Its not racist at all, its intelligent to know your enemy! Its only purveyed as racism by liberals and Islam. See the TV, every channel these days shows what friends they all are? Its about political correctness which of course is an absolute lie and fully at odds with human nature. the taboilds in england definatally put in stories that arent true about muslims in uk and inadvertently encouraged islamphobia though i do believe the majority of britsh people do no believe what they read and see though the unfair and untrue criticism. whatever the problems involving Muslim immigrants in the western world there needs to ore understanding of both sides cases by both sides, we should not separate each other but work to understanding each other live together free of hate

so we're all just imagining that muslims are responsible for 20,000 terrorist attacks since 9/11 or that they riot in the streets demanding 'Danish and English blood' over cartoons poking fun at Islam's pedophile prophet Mohammad?

Or that muslims didn't defile poppies on Nov 11 and call UK troops 'butchers of basra'...or have hate promising to bring sharia to the UK/europe or have regular hate rallies in Iran promising the destruction of the US/Israel.
